World Theatre Day – 27 March 2024

World Theatre Day celebrates the enchanting world of drama and storytelling showing the timeless art form that transcends generations.  From the captivating performances to the mesmerizing stagecraft, theatre offers a unique experience that resonates with people of all ages.  Whether it’s the magic of a children’s play, the emotional depth of a classic drama or the laughter induced by a comedy, theatre has the power to transport individuals into different realms of imagination and emotion. It serves as a communal celebration of creativity and human expression, fostering a sense of connection among diverse audiences worldwide.  On this special day, let’s embrace the joy and universality of theatre, recognising it as a source of entertainment and inspiration that knows no age limits.

Pushed created this short, 2D social media animation using After Effects, Illustrator, and Premier Pro to help embrace the joy and universality of theatre, recognising it as a source of entertainment and inspiration that knows no age limits. Animation allows compelling messages to be conveyed powerfully in just a few short seconds, and this animation is a perfect example of this. The opening, featuring a family in grey colour schemes, washed out by the lifeless glow from phones and screens is quickly replaced by a vibrant, detailed shot of a theatre curtain opening on the now smiling family.
