Jason Atherton’s Dubai Dishes

Having worked for Gordon Ramsay Holdings for nearly 10 years, Jason Atherton stepped out on his own in 2010 and launched his own restaurant company, The Social Company. His flagship restaurant, Pollen Street Social in Mayfair, was an immediate success with diners and was awarded one Michelin star in April 2011 after only being open for fewer than six months. His company has gone on to open a total of 15 restaurants worldwide, from the Philippines to America with Dubai, Shanghai and more in between. Now, in a new show airing on ITV called “Jason Atherton’s Dubai Dishes,” Jason Atherton is getting to share the flavours that his customers have come to love with the world.

This ITV1 series was designed to explore the different dishes served in Atherton’s Dubai restaurants, and Pushed was approached to produce the opening sequence. When producing such a clip, it is very important to intentionally use stylistic choices that remain true to the nature of the show while ensuring that the branding is cohesive and present. This 2D logo resolve was produced using Adobe After Effects and Illustrator and effectively and efficiently represents the premise of the series to audiences. In this instance, it conveys the nature of the show to viewers and audiences in just a few short seconds, including thematic and content elements that are not as easily conveyed when using live-action footage or text alone. Pushed has produced several animated title sequences for Rock Oyster Media, so this latest series allowed them to create content that tied into the overall style that has been produced for the brand, while still being unique to the elements of this newest programme.
