Move over, big Christmas tear-jerkers,  there’s a new festive favourite in town!

We’re thrilled to have been commissioned to create the brand new Christmas advert for Michael Spiers, marking the jeweller’s first-ever step into the world of animation.  It was a pleasure to work with the team and to help bring their festive story to life, lovingly hand-drawn in 2D using Illustrator, After Effects, MoHo, Premiere and Photoshop.

In this heart-warming tale, we follow George as he searches for the perfect Christmas gift for his wife, Florence.  Inspired by a moment of pure adoration, he reaches up and gently hooks a sparkling purple star from the night sky.  The magic transforms him into his younger self and when he returns home with the star, Florence is also returned to her youth.  George then reveals the delicate Michael Spiers star necklace he has chosen for her, and the couple share a beautiful, tender moment before returning to the present day.
