Now, 80 years later, we commemorate this historic milestone with a 3D animation that takes us on a journey through time – from the battlefields of war, with gunfire echoing in the background, to Buckingham Palace, where jubilant crowds filled The Mall, and finally to a modern-day street adorned with flags flying from every house.
